Another good night at Casey McGee’s with six different “acts”, five solos and one duo. This openmic is definitely more acoustic/unplugged and not a jam. Collaboration is welcome but for those looking for a jam this would not be the openmic for you.
Rich started off the night with a great acoustic set of CSNY favorites, Adam played a fine set of American standards on ukulele, John and Cassidy each did a solo acoustic set including some Dead songs and Marianne and JohnnyO performed four classic rock and country rock tunes.
The atmosphere is quiet but fun in this venue on a Thursday night. Nashua has a nice downtown but it does not seem highly active with foot traffic on a Thursday night so patrons are mostly folks making an effort to choose Casey McGee’s. This venue has a dedicated stage and the staff are all very friendly, quick to serve and competent. Website: caseymcgees.com and on facebook
